A digital home for first-generation students: the Pioniersstudenten platform

Neither of your parents went on to higher education, but you did? Then you are a pioneer student. Together with the team of vzw Pioniersstudenten, Planet Polaris translated their mission into a digital platform that helps the community grow.

Taking that step often raises questions that cannot be answered at home. Vzw Pioniersstudenten offers recognition, connection and support: a place to meet, ask questions and pass on experience. The new platform gives that community a home online.

What the platform offers

• A personal login for students (“Pionies”) and mentors (“Sherpas”), with a news engine, events and downloads.
• An events calendar with a built-in registration module.
• An online community system.
• Livestreaming on the organisation’s own website, with full admin control.
• A fully responsive design for every screen.

Social impact, powered by technology that simply works

From luxury hotels to education initiatives, our approach is essentially the same: understand the people who will use it, then build something that works for them and keep supporting it.

Is your organisation looking for a website that does more than display information, such as a member platform, registrations or a community? Get in touch and we will gladly think along.
